On February 13th Civil Society Institute organized a meeting with guests from Moldova; Daria Mandzyuk, “Центр КОНТАКТ” organization and Vitali Cirhana, Institute of Study in Development “Millenium”.
On February 11th was organized a film screening in Civil Society Institute office. "Inseparable island. Cyprus conflict" is a documental film and describing the historical details of Cyprus conflict, the current situation, and also includes interesting interviews with the Greeks and Turks inhabitants of the island.
On January 21 and 22, Civil Society Institute organized a seminar, which topic was "Social Conflicts and Media". During two days the participants learned about the essence of conflict, the stages of conflict escalation, and methods of conflict transformation by Friedrich Glasl's thesis. As well as they discussed and analyzed some articles from newspapers.
Since September CSI has been implementing a new project titled "Conflict capable schools - conflict capable society". Four schools were selected for the project, 3 schools 3 schools from Yerevan and 1 school from Ashtarak. The primary goal of this project is to raise the level of efficiency of conflict management among Armenian society through organizing trainings on conflict management for teachers and pupils.
On December 9th Burcu Becermen, representative of “Hrant Dink” International Foundation, was hosted in Civil Society Institute NGO. The participants of the meeting were senior pupils of “Aregnazan” school.
