Current political picture of Turkey and the issues

On September 25th, 2008, Civil Society Institute organized a seminar-discussion with Turgut Kerem Tuncel, teaching assistant in Department of International Relations in Istanbul Bilgi University, and pursuing a PhD. degree in Political Science in Ankara University, Faculty of Social Sciences. The topic of discussion was “Current political picture of Turkey”. The speaker talked about the most significant political events in history of Turkey. He talked also about current situation, the priorities and issues of current foreign policy of Turkey. Turgut Kerem Tuncel stressed questions of honesty and the real appreciation of interests concerning Turkey-European Union relations and perspectives.

The seminar was organized in the frame of Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation program.
