On November 12th , CSI organized a meeting with Nina Caspersen. Dr Nina Caspersen (PhD, LSE) is a Lecturer in the Department of Politics & International Relations at Lancaster University, UK. She is currently conducting fieldwork in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh for an ESRC-funded project on unrecognised states. Her articles on the dynamics of ethnic conflict, intra-ethnic divisions and unrecognised states have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Peace Research, Nationalism and Ethnic Politics, Nationalities Papers and Survival.
During the meeting the talk was focused on the changes in the rhetoric adopted by the authorities in Nagorno Karabakh; as to what extent this is reflected in, or indeed driven by, internal developments in the entity, and finally examined the impact it might have on the possibility for achieving (sustainable) peace.

The meeting was organized in the frame of Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation program.
