"What if you are called by the police"

November 13- Civil Society Institute in cooperation with Penal Reform International organized a short Film Clips Presentation at Moscow Cinema regarding individual rights "What if you are called by the police."

The Clips presentation is part of the campaign at Civil Society Institute which is seeking to raise awareness and inform citizens of their individual rights according to the Armenian legislation. These rights are regarding and related to every citizen and member of society.

The six clips feature the following:

When the police approach you in the streets...
When the police invite you to the police station...
When the police call you in as a witness...
When the police invite you to an investigation...
When the police arrest you...
Periods of arrest...

The short film clips are supposed to be pleasing for the audience and easy to understand, making it possible for the average Armenian citizen to understand and obtain information regarding one's individual rights under these circumstances.
The short film clips have been prepared in within the framework of the Campaign for implementation in Armenia of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Implementing this campaign in Armenia is Civil Society Institute NGO in cooperation with Penal Reform International through financial support provided by Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
