A Joint Concert

On April 20, 2007 the Hagharcin Music School’s Folk Instrumental Department’s students gave a performance at Yerevan’s infamous Sayat Nova Music School. Classical music pieces were performed with not only traditional Armenian folk instruments but also with the piano and violin. Also participating the concert were pupils of the Sayat Nova Music School.

Tigran Hekikyan, the Principal of the Sayat Nova Music School, greeted the audience with opening words. During his speech, he stated how he was impressed with the Hagharcin Music School’s talented students and the high quality of the teachers’ staff. On his behalf, he expressed his desire and will to cooperate with not only Hagharcin but other communities’ schools.

All of the participants received certificates.

The concert was organized within the frameworks of the Civil Society Network program.
