The Central Electoral Commission published the final results of the elections

The Central
Electoral Commission (CEC) at its session on 25 February 2013 confirmed that
the winner of the Presidential elections of Armenia was the incumbent President
Serzh Sargsyan, and that the registered violations had not affected the results
of the elections. The decision was adopted unanimously by all CEC members.

Thus, the final
picture of the votes received by the nominated candidates is as follows:

Serzh Sargsyan – 861.373 votes
(58,64%),

Raffi Hovhannisyan – 539.693 votes
(36,75%),

Hrant Bagratyan – 31.643 votes
(2,15%),

Parouyr Hayrikyan  – 18.096 votes (1,23%),

Andrias Ghukasyan – 8.329 votes
(0,57%),

Vardan Sedrakyan – 6.210 votes
(0,42%),

Arman Melikyan – 3.520 votes
(0,24%).

According to the
summary protocol, the total number of voters was 2 million 527 thousand 822;
the number of voters who voted (based on the signatures) was 1 million 521
thousand 261; and the number of void ballots – 50 thousand 776.

During the eligible
period, the CEC had received 57 applications: applications requesting to annul
the results of the elections in 47 precinct electoral commissions and 10
requests to do vote recount. The majority of applications had been submitted by
representatives of the candidate for the President’s office Raffi Hovhannisyan.
One request each on vote recount had been submitted accordingly by Serzh
Sargsyan's proxy and a regional electoral commission.

Vote recount was
organized in 10 precinct electoral commissions, which had not changed
significantly the preliminary results.

According to CEC, the
applications with a request to annul the election results were rejected for
having no factual grounds.

While the Chair of
the CEC Tigran Moukouchian was announcing the final results of the elections, a
group of protesters were holding a protest action in front of the CEC office
and shouting “shame”. They do not agree with the official results of the
elections.

Police surrounded the building of the CEC office, not allowing the
protesters to approach the office entrance.
