This week Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan will appeal to the Constitutional Court of Armenia questioning the constitutionality of RA Civil Code provisions of defamation and insult.

"Complaints on the current application of the law testify to fact that in the sphere of freedom of expression as well as in other spheres the unfair Judge discredits the good law, and the RA legislation, discredits the good judge and the whole judicial system, discredits all our branches of power and the State. The elimination of the factor of the unfair Judge is the matter that me, any journalist, a fair judge, and any person who cares for human rights should deal with", thinks Mr. Andreasyan.

The defender realizing the affirmation that the current usage of the law by the courts is conditioned by the ambiguous regulations of the law, has made a decision to convey all these concerns to the RA Constitutional Court for examination.
